In southwest France, just a stone's throw north of the medium-sized city of Nîmes, you'll find the impressive vineyards of Les Collines du Bourdic. This wine is produced by the eponymous Bourdic winery. Originally founded as a cooperative, this winery is renowned for its diversity in the vineyards of southwest France. Because the cooperative collaborates intensively with no fewer than 100 winegrowers, they not only have access to a large quantity of grapes, but the expertise Bourdic possesses is priceless.

The vineyards around Nîmes

Nîmes is a medium-sized town in the south of France, just a few dozen kilometers from the Mediterranean coast. The region is exceptionally well-suited for winemaking, as the Bourdic winery recognized in the mid-1920s. Record sunshine, a perfect sea breeze, and a superb terroir. What more could you ask for? Bourdic has planted a variety of grape varieties, many of which are inspired by the classic grapes of the Côtes du Rhone. The grapes for this Les Collines du Bourdic are Syrah grapes. Les Collines means "the hills." The Syrah vines are planted in an idyllic hilly landscape that will instantly inspire daydreams.

Because there are so many grapes available, the winemaker can select the fullest and most flavorful bunches for this red wine. This ensures the quality of this Bourdic wine remains exceptionally high. This is clearly evident upon tasting. The aroma and palate immediately reveal typical Syrah notes. An expressive nose and a firm bite. You'll recognize red berries and wild strawberries. A hint of pepper is also essential. A classic Syrah, but at its very best.
