The Silvaner grapes are hand-picked under the supervision of the Bischel brothers. The juice is pressed with great care and attention, early in the morning while the Silvaner is still asleep. This preserves the freshness of this Bischel white wine. Only the finest grapes are taken to the winery to be gently crushed and then steeped in their own juice for several hours. After gentle pressing, the juice ferments with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks for several hours. It then rests for approximately four months before bottling.
The aroma offers a beautiful bouquet of green apple, ripe pear, hints of mint and other green herbs, rounded out with asparagus. The palate is soft and refreshingly dry, with plenty of citrus and white fruit, dominated by apple and lime. On the palate, pure purity with beautiful green herbs. Bischel's Silvaner pairs perfectly with white meat and fish dishes. It complements all asparagus dishes perfectly.
