Creating Portillo Sauvignon Blanc is a harmonious blend of modern and traditional winemaking techniques. Maturation in stainless steel tanks and hand-sorting of the grapes ensure unparalleled quality. The ancient vines, which proudly adorn the highlands, give the wine a freshness and intensity rarely found. Behind this masterful wine is Salentein, the brainchild of Dutch businessman Mijndert Pon, founded in 1996. The vineyard's architecture itself is a work of art—designed in the shape of a cross, with a boutique winery in each wing. And deep underground, eight meters to be precise, the wine rests in oak barrels, using gravity for a seamless transition from tank to barrel.
The Portillo Sauvignon Blanc is a symphony of flavors. Its bright, golden hue radiates in the glass, and the aromas of grapefruit, exotic fruit, and crisp green apples invite you to the first sip. Each sip reveals fresh citrus and exotic fruit notes, perfectly balanced with the characteristic acidity of a Sauvignon Blanc. It's a wine that's both refreshing and rich, ideal for a sunny day or as an accompaniment to a summer meal.
