Fourth generation of winemakers at Weingut Polz
Weingut Polz is a family-owned winery that has been producing wine for four generations in the beautiful Südsteiermark region of Austria. With a passion for producing quality wines and a focus on sustainability and traditional production methods, Polz has built a reputation as one of the most renowned wineries in the region. A prime example is the Polz Ried Witscheiner Herrenberg Sauvignon Blanc, made from grapes grown in a prime vineyard with perfect location and soil conditions. The vines are planted on the beautiful slopes of the Ried Witscheiner Herrenberg. Thanks to the sandy loam soil with a high lime content, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes can develop well. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and taken directly to the winery. A strict selection follows, after which the grapes are pressed. The juice undergoes fermentation in large wooden barrels. This gives the wine a unique complexity and a beautiful balance between fruit and oak.A fresh and spicy Sauvignon Blanc from Polz
With a radiant lemon yellow color, this De Polz Ried Witscheiner Herrenberg Sauvignon Blanc appears in the glass. The aromas are of lemon zest, green tea, chamomile, and citrus. Wonderfully fresh with the necessary complexity. Thanks to the use of oak, this is complemented by notes of almond. The palate is elegantly fresh and spicy, giving the wine a lively character. The flavor is beautifully balanced with the aromas and has a lingering finish.Product details
