The Ried Theresienhöhe is the estate's highest vineyard, also affectionately known as Therese. This is where the Sauvignon Blanc grapes used for the Polz Ried Theresienhöhe Therese Sauvignon Blanc are grown. This vineyard is classified as Erste Lage, comparable to Premier Cru status in Burgundy. The soil of the vineyard consists primarily of slate, which contributes to the crisp acidity and mineral undertones that characterize these wines. To bring out these characteristics, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
