The Sauvignon Blanc vineyards of Monterre winery lie in the southern French sun. The white Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown on a relatively elevated vineyard. This grape requires a bit more coolness, which is achieved by the fresh breeze blowing through the vineyards and the difference between day and night temperatures. Because the vineyard is situated at a higher elevation, it cools considerably in the evening, giving the grapes more freshness. This translates into the fresh and lively attack of this Monterre Sauvignon Blanc.

At the perfect ripeness, the Sauvignon Blanc is harvested in the early morning. This happens quite early in the season because the Monterre winemaker wants to preserve the beautiful freshness in this white wine. Well, they certainly succeeded, and it's truly a joy to drink. Upon arrival, the grapes are gently pressed, and the entire wine is aged for several months in steel vats in Monterre's cellars. Only when the wine is perfect and approved by the winemaker are the bottles of white wine bottled and sold.

Beautiful flavors of Granny Smith apple, citrus fruit, gooseberry, and a touch of passion fruit.
