As soon as the bottle is uncorked, a subtle aroma of minerals, white fruit, flint, and a hint of toasted wood greets us. In the glass, the wine displays a clear color with an attractive green sparkle. As we approach the glass, we are overwhelmed by its sheer refinement; soft notes of light white fruit and a hint of citrus fill our senses. A light swirl reveals nuances of wood and a volcanic note. The palate is delightfully fresh, with soft, pleasant acidity that caresses the palate. Minerals linger on the cheek, complemented by flavors of gooseberry and lime. The finish is powerful, with the gentle and lingering influence of the wooden barrel. An absolutely world-class wine!
