Tommasi's Valpolicella Ripasso has been one of our best-selling wines for years. And that's no surprise. With a centuries-old reputation in winemaking, since the founding of the Tommasi winery in 1902, you know you can expect quality. The vineyards are located in Pedemonte, a village just west of the famous Verona in the Veneto region. The grapes for Tommasi Ripasso Valpolicella are grown in the best locations in Veneto, with perfect slopes that optimally enjoy the sun. Valpolicella Ripasso is sometimes called the "baby Amarone." This is because this Ripasso Valpolicella undergoes a second fermentation on the lees used for Amarone wines. Incidentally, this Tommasi Ripasso Valpolicella isn't produced every year. Only during exceptionally good years does the Valpolicella Classico Superiore undergo its second fermentation on the lees of the Amarone. Only in this way can Tommasi achieve the quality for which it has become known. A classic winemaking method that offers exceptional value for money. Almost unbelievable, so much quality for this price!
