This white wine is named after the vineyard where the Riesling grapes grow: Langenmorgen. This Von Winning vineyard boasts one of the highest honors in German viticulture. So you're guaranteed a fine glass of wine. Unlike Von Winning's other wines, Von Winning Langenmorgen boasts plenty of juiciness and fruitiness. Not at all what you'd expect from a Riesling: fragrant apricots, invigorating citrus, and fresh peach work together to create a superb wine. But also a touch of almond, a touch of oak, and strong minerals are part of the exuberant bouquet of Von Winning Langenmorgen.

This winery truly creates art with this grape; every wine is unique and has its own unique character. While they own less than forty hectares, they do boast some of the very best quality vineyards. This Von Winning Langenmorgen also comes from such a beautiful vineyard. Langenmorgen vineyards are located just outside Deidesheim, on the famous Weinstrasse. A remarkable feature is that Langenmorgen is a Grosse Lage vineyard, the equivalent of a Grand Cru vineyard in France.

The Riesling thrives in the Palatinate soil. Although this region is located quite far north, it enjoys a surprisingly mild climate. This is due in part to the Vosges and Haardt Mountains, which form a natural barrier to the west and east. As a result, Palatinate is on average 3 to 4 degrees warmer than the rest of Germany, allowing grapes to grow happily here. It's no wonder Palatinate is called the Burgundy of Germany. This quality is also evident in Von Winning Langenmorgen. The Riesling grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in 500-liter wooden barrels. This is a spontaneous fermentation, as Von Winning wants to minimize disruption to the production process. After fermentation, Von Winning Langenmorgen matures for a full year and a half.
