Vintage Report

This was an excellent vintage for Barolo with a rating of 91 points. The wines are currently still tannic and youthful, indicating a slow and promising maturation.
This wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on the hills of the Barological region, which comprises eleven municipalities, all located in the first foothills of the Langhe. Young Barolo is characterized by its distinctive tannins, which gradually soften in the wood as it ages, giving it a velvety, delicate flavor. A wine to savor!

The best Italian winery

Batasiolo Winery is one of the finest wineries in Piedmont, whose wines regularly receive awards. In 1978, the Dogliani brothers purchased the Kiola winery in La Morra. Founded in 1950, it comprises seven farms with vineyards. With the addition of this large winery and its own land, the estate now comprises nine farms and 264 hectares of vineyards. Batasiolo is the largest wine producer in the Langhe region, with an annual production of approximately 2,500,000 bottles. With this Barolo, Batasiolo has successfully mastered the interpretation of Italian royal wine. It is made from the grapes of the Nebbiolo vine, native to Piedmont. This refined grape variety grows in the vineyards of the small community of 500 people in Serralunga d'Alba. Barolo is traditionally produced through a two-month fermentation process in large oak barrels. Due to its aromatic density and high tannin content, the wine requires a long aging process. Skin contact during maceration is limited to ten days. The wine then matures in barrel for at least 24 months, followed by bottle aging of between 6 and 12 months.
