Not only Provence can produce a beautiful, light rosé, but also the Languedoc! This Monterre is a unique rosé! Made from the Grenache grape, it gives it its beautiful, light color. Anyone who didn't know better would think they were enjoying a glass of Cotes de Provence. This rosé is truly fantastic value for money, a fact that has been discovered by many top restaurants who serve it as house wine. It all starts in the old Monterre vineyard, where the Grenache grapes receive everything they need. The rich soil and wonderful climate contribute to a superb harvest bursting with fruit.

The harvest of the Grenache

Because the grapes also receive plenty of coolness, they are harvested in the middle of the harvest season. Monterre's winemaker starts very early in the morning while the grapes are still dormant. This prevents bruising during transport and allows the grapes to retain their freshness, which we taste in the beautifully refreshing style of this rosé. When the Grenache grapes arrive at Monterre, they are inspected again. Only the best bunches are bottled. The skins ferment for just 30 minutes to achieve the beautiful light pink color. After this, the light pink juice matures for several more weeks in Monterre's cellars.

The color is very inviting and immediately gives off a powerful aroma upon pouring this rosé. The nose offers attractive aromas of red fruit and blossom. The palate is crisp and dry with soft notes of strawberry, raspberry, and grapefruit, and a hint of berry.
