Vintage Report

The 2023 vintage in the Languedoc has been rated 94 points by Robert Parker, indicating excellent quality. The wines from this vintage are currently still young and tannic, which points to good aging potential.
Have you ever enjoyed it at one of the Netherlands' top restaurants? This wine series from Maison Le Bosquet is incredibly popular, and we're not surprised. The Maison Le Bosquet winery is part of the Vic family, the heroes of the South of France. The old vineyards, the perfect soil, and the wonderful climate in the Vin de Pays d'Oc region produce a ripe and smooth red wine. As the family themselves say, everything has to be aligned to produce wine of this quality. And we haven't even mentioned the fantastic price.

The old vineyard of Maison Le Bosquet Le Jardin

This red wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Grenache grapes, all of which contribute to this red wine from Maison Le Bosquet. The winery and vineyards are located in Vias, a coastal town not far from Béziers in the Languedoc region. The vineyards benefit from abundant sunshine combined with a cooling sea breeze. This results in a ripe harvest, and with the volcanic soil, the results are stunning. The harvest is brought in at night and early morning to protect the grapes from oxidation and bruising during transport. Each grape is harvested separately, after which the family blends this red wine. And leave it to them—it's a real treat to drink.

This red Maison Le Bosquet wine is soft and refined

After opening the bottle, we smelled a vibrant aroma of black and red fruit, which intensified as we poured this red wine. The color in the glass reminded us of deep red cherries with a purple sheen. All the aromas were released, and we noted nuances of berries and cherries, as well as some light spices and plums. On the palate, this red Maison Le Bosquet is very smooth and refined. Beautiful flavors of plums, cherries, and blackberries complemented by vanilla and a touch of stewed strawberries.
