A rare gem, this Rosé from Château d'Esclans. This estate wine is made from Grenache and Vermentino grapes. During the winemaking process, they combine stainless steel and barrel fermentation, creating a unique blend of freshness and complexity. Thanks to the expertise of this great winery, it is a full-bodied rosé vinified with a soft and creamy texture that is rich and long on the palate.

The success story of Chateau d'Esclans

The current Château d'Esclans was built in the mid-19th century. In 2006, Sacha Lichine pursued his dream and purchased the 19th-century manor house in the village of La Motte. The house was surrounded by 650 hectares of parkland, forest, and ancient vines. He saw potential, and thus began the success of Château d'Esclans. Situated in an exceptional location, it now boasts 44 hectares of vineyards. The main grape variety is Grenache, followed by Vermentino. It even earned the estate the title of European Winery of the Year, making it the first rosé winery to receive this title. The vineyards in the beautiful hills of Provence enjoy the best conditions. The Château harvests in the morning to preserve the freshness of the fruit. The bunches are sorted by hand and then electronically for a second time. They are then lightly pressed at a low temperature, again to preserve the fresh aromas. The juice is fermented without maceration. Afterwards, the free-run juice and the pressed juice are vinified in separate containers: half in stainless steel vats and the rest in large oak barrels.

It's well-structured and rich on the palate, striking a beautiful balance between freshness and volume. The oak influence is beautifully woven into the flavor, but certainly not overpowering. The taste continues into a smooth, long finish. Delicious!
