This white Le Renard Chardonnay is a top-class Burgundy. The Devillard family's estate, with its many beautiful vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, produces superb wines. This delicious Chardonnay is no exception. The grapes are sourced from various vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise, where the finest grapes are carefully selected. Because only the best is good enough for Le Renard.

The beginning of Domaine Devillards

The story of Domaine Devillard began in 1934, when the Marquis de Jouennes d'Herville decided to bottle his wines on the estate, first in Mercury. Since 2005, his grandchildren have run Château de Chamirey, supported by their father, Bertrand Devillard. Château de Chamirey's estate has now grown to 37 hectares. For generations, the Devillards have owned four estates in Burgundy, from north to south, from the Côte de Nuits to the Mâconnais. This offering is unique in Burgundy. Vintage after vintage, the same high standards and consistency of quality drive the family and its teams. Together, they share the same philosophy: producing the finest wines possible, the finest expression of their terroir, characterized by balance and elegance.

Manual harvest for Le Renard wines

All grapes are hand-picked, and it ferments and ages exclusively in stainless steel. This Chardonnay Bourgogne undergoes full malolactic fermentation, giving it that characteristic buttery note so characteristic of Burgundy's fine white wines. On the nose, this Le Renard offers a broad bouquet of abundant white fruit, including apple, pear, and peach, complemented by a smoky note and hints of caramel, roasted nuts, and butter. The aroma is already a sight to behold, but the palate is overflowing with happiness: beautiful flavors of pear, peach, and honey, but above all, ripe and juicy, rich, yet minerally and fresh. What an exuberant wine!
