This Bombino Chardonnay from the Torrevento winery is a blend where the winery combines the rare Bombino Bianco grape with Chardonnay grapes. Both grapes are sourced from the Castel del Monte region. To bring out the elegant and well-structured flavors, the wine is aged for six months in oak barrels.

The authentic flavors of Torrevento

Torrevento is a prestigious winery located in the Apulia region of southern Italy. Founded in 1948 by brothers Francesco and Domenico Liantonio, the winery has been renowned for its high-quality wines ever since. With over 70 years of winemaking experience, Torrevento has built extensive knowledge of both indigenous and international grape varieties. The winery produces not only single-varietal wines but also complex blends of different grape varieties. By combining modern technologies and traditional vinification methods, Torrevento creates wines of the highest quality with a unique flavor. The Bombino and Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested in September. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed under controlled temperatures. The wine is then fully aged in steel tanks for six months, followed by another six months in oak barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled and aged for a further period in the bottle before it is ready to drink. This process of aging in steel and oak barrels contributes to the wine's complexity and depth.
