A rarity is how we would describe this white wine. The vineyards for Clunia Albillo are located in the province of Burgos, about a two-hour drive west of Navarra. The wine region where the vineyards are located, Castilla y Leon, is currently experiencing growth. This is thanks in part to Principe de Viana, which has saved the Albillo grape from extinction. Thanks to Clunia, this native grape is increasingly being planted in the robust vineyards of Castilla y Leon, at an altitude of at least 1,000 meters above sea level, because that's where this white grape thrives.
Creating this wine is a craft in itself. Everything is meticulously and precisely handled. Each grape is hand-picked and selected before entering the process. This ensures that only the very best grapes are considered for Clunia Albillo. After fermentation, the rare juice is placed in 500-liter oak barrels, where it ages for five months. This creates a broad bouquet of aromas and flavors. You'll smell aromas of soft apricot, fresh pineapple, and invigorating grapefruit. But swirl Clunia Albillo in your glass, and the floral notes will delight your nose. A subtle touch of spice completes this white wine.
