This full-bodied Viognier from the River Junction wine region is undoubtedly one of McManis' finest white wines. McManis owns the entire vineyard, allowing them to tailor this wine entirely to their own taste. The grapes are harvested by hand and then brought in small crates, preventing damage to the bunches and preserving their potency. Because the Viognier juice is so high-quality, no wooden barrels are used. As the winemaker himself says, you can taste pure nature in this quality.

McManis' vision

McManis Winery was founded in 1990 by Ron and Jamie McManis, the fourth generation of winegrowers. The McManis family has been growing grapes in this region since 1938. The vineyards are located near the cool influences of the San Joaquin and Stanislaus Rivers. Today, the family owns 1,200 acres of land spread across ten vineyards, all certified "Green Winery." With great attention to nature, they employ labor-intensive methods such as defoliation, and they continually invest in new techniques. All this with a single vision: to produce the finest wines and grapes in the Northern San Joaquin Valley using sustainable viticulture.

The taste of McManis Viognier

The juice is cold-fermented in stainless steel to preserve Viognier's unique fruit characteristics. Quality is paramount throughout the winemaking process. The grapes are carefully selected, and the entire process is meticulously executed. The result is this beautiful bottle of wine. The aroma of this white wine offers hints of apricot, peach, and pear, accompanied by an underlying mineral note. The palate is pure, with considerable length and depth, and refined flavors of the Viognier grape, such as peach, pear, and apple. The finish is long and very clean.
