What a top-notch white Weissburgunder, or Pinot Bianco, whatever you prefer to call it. The forty-year-old vines give this Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Weissburgunder a wealth of style and depth. Owners Christoph and Sabine Tiefenbrunner named the wine after their daughter Anna.

The origins of the Pinot Bianco grapes

Tiefenbrunner Winery has dedicated itself to quality in all its wines, producing wines typical of the grape and the vineyard. Christophe Tiefenbrunner began in 1991 and has significantly modernized the vineyards and perfected the winemaking process. The Pinot Bianco grape originates from the Bolzano region. In this mountainous region, the temperature differences between day and night are significant, resulting in aromatic and distinctively powerful wines. This Tiefenbrunner Pinot Bianco represents the pinnacle of the region's offerings. It is made using grapes from two vineyards. Grapes from the river valley near the village of Magreid give the wine fullness and power. Thanks to the grapes from the hills near Kurtatsch, up to an altitude of 350 meters, the wine acquires freshness and tension. These vineyards also have a high lime content, contributing to a beautiful mineral character. This results in a wine with many facets and exceptional complexity. After the careful harvest, it's time for fermentation. Large oak barrels are used, allowing the wine to "breathe," so to speak. This makes the wine richer and fuller. However, seventy percent is aged in stainless steel, as freshness is essential for this exquisite wine. The result is a delightful glass of classy Pinot Bianco.
