What a special wine, this second wine from Château du Seuil, called La Chapelle du Seuil Rosé. This beautiful winery is located in the heart of Provence, with its vineyards spread across the Trévaresse slopes. The entire 62-hectare vineyard, designated Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, is perfectly situated. The vineyards enjoy ample sunshine and some refreshing Mediterranean sunshine. Over the years, Château du Seuil has become a global player, thanks to its exceptional quality. But this doesn't happen overnight, the family explains. They work hard in the vineyards, perfecting everything to produce the finest rosé wines from the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence region.

The old vineyard of La Chapelle du Seuil

This rosé is made from four grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Rolle, and Cinsault. These complement each other perfectly in this rosé. The vineyards of La Chapelle du Seuil are situated at an altitude of up to four hundred and fifty meters above sea level. This explains the beautiful, fresh style of this rosé, as the vineyards are always cool. The wind and falling nighttime temperatures cool the grapes, which is necessary as it can get quite warm during the growing season. The subsoil is very important, containing a lot of lime and clay, which allows the roots to penetrate deep into the ground. The winery grows its grapes as sustainably as possible, with respect for nature.

What does La Chapelle du Seuil en Provence Rosé taste like?

As soon as the cap is opened, we smell powerful notes of rose petals, small wild strawberries, and a hint of grapefruit. The wine reaches its full potential as soon as it's in the glass, a beautiful light pink with a reddish sheen. A typical color for a top Provence. Nosing the glass, we noted hints of red fruit, citrus peel, grapefruit, and, of course, some fresh raspberries. The finish is fresh and very delicate.
