The Comtes de Lorgeril winery offers a wide range of wines. Thanks to their vineyards in prime locations in the Languedoc region, they can produce wines with a distinctive character. Long, hot summers alternate with mild winters, making it crucial to plant the grapes on high hillsides. This allows them to ripen optimally and beautifully thanks to the fresh breeze. The same applies to the Chardonnay grapes; they thrive in the climate and are harvested with the utmost care at peak ripeness. In the winery, they know how to bring out the best qualities of this grape.

The ancient chateau de Lorgeril

The beautiful Château de Lorgeril is located in the town of Pennautier. Built in 1620, it boasts a long history. Nicolas and Miren de Logeril took over the winery in 1987. They also acquired estates in Roussillon, Saint Chinian, and Minervois. Their preference lies in higher-elevation vineyards, driven by their appreciation for elegance. The Languedoc region offers the family a wide range of vineyards. The west, for example, is cooler and has more rainfall, where the Atlantique varieties thrive. Concentrated wines are more pronounced in the south. La Cote is perfect for white wines. This allows this winery to offer a vast range of wines, beautifully showcasing both freshness and elegance. Only the very best grapes are carefully harvested when the Chardonnay grapes are fully ripe. In the winery, they are rigorously selected so that only the finest grapes are pressed into juice. The Chardonnay Les Terrasses is not aged in oak barrels, which preserves its freshness.
