The grapes for this cava are carefully selected from the region's finest vineyards. The blend consists of Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel lo, traditional grape varieties that provide freshness, structure, and a subtle fruity character. After the primary fermentation, the wine undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle, followed by maturation on the lees for at least 15 months. This classic method gives the wine its refined mousse and complex flavor profile.
This cava is best served at a temperature of 6-8°C to fully develop its freshness and delicate aromas. The versatility of Segura Viudas Reserva makes it an excellent accompaniment to a variety of dishes, such as seafood like cockles and anchovies, or light seafood pasta dishes. It also pairs perfectly with a warm quail salad or soft cheeses like Brie. Thanks to its lively acidity and refined character, this cava is also ideal as an aperitif.
