How this wine tastes

Explore the flavour profile, food pairings and tips for serving and cellaring.

Flavour profile

Hazelnut and almond open the nose, followed by marigold, elderflower, and a fresh touch of lemongrass. The palate is rich and soft, with refined bubbles and vibrant citrus that keeps the whole beautifully balanced. A subtly earthy nuance gives the long finish extra character.

From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

With white Burgundy as a taste reference, ACALA fermented tea provides a distinct gastronomic character. The special combination of two types of tea yields nutty depth and floral finesse, carried by fresh citrus and a light sparkle.

This organic, vegan sparkling tea is made in Lithuania and contains 0.0% alcohol.

  • Spring water: Spring water from Druskininkai forms the basis for the tea preparation.

  • Green tea and hemp tea: Green tea from the Chinese region of Yunnan is combined with floral hemp tea of the Felina variety. Together, they form the aromatic heart of White Wine Style.

  • Herbs and spices: Lemongrass, wormwood, juniper berries, and cardamom supplement the tea base with fresh, herbal accents and additional aromatic depth.

ACALA builds its sparkling teas through fermentation, precise blending, and aging after bottling.

  • Tea preparation and fermentation: The tea is brewed with spring water over an open fire and subsequently fermented. This method forms the basis for the complex flavor profile.

  • Blending: Aged, fermented tea is combined with freshly brewed tea and carefully selected herbs. Balancing these components brings together freshness, aromatic intensity, and structure.

  • Finishing and bottle aging: Added carbonation provides the sparkle. After bottling, it is aged in a cool, dark cellar, where the various flavor components can further fuse together.

  • Silver, International Wine & Spirit Competition (2024): Praised for jasmine, green tea, and succulent white peach, followed by fresh rhubarb and a subtle hint of tobacco. The jury highlighted the harmony, elegance, and remarkably long finish.

  • Bronze, International Wine & Spirit Competition (2025 and 2026): The jury appreciated the soft tea and citrus notes. In 2025, the stone fruit and clean finish stood out; in 2026, the floral flavor, balanced structure, and subtly salty finish were emphasized.
