The beginning of Toros winery

Renowned winemaker Franco Toros, owner of the winery, constantly roams his vineyards in search of top quality. The winery's roots go back to his grandfather, Edoardo, who founded the winery in Novali, the heart of Collio Goriziano, in the early 20th century. Collio Goriziano, also known as DOC Collio, extends across Friuli, with some even reaching Slovenia. With 1,500 hectares of primarily white grape varieties, this area is dedicated to quality wines. Toros Pinot Grigio Collio is born in the heart of the enchanting Collio Goriziano, a wine region stretching between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Here, amidst this inspiring setting, the process begins with the careful hand-picking of the grapes. Then, the grapes are gently pressed. The essence of these grapes comes to life during alcoholic fermentation, a crucial stage that takes place in stainless steel tanks. This guarantees that the wine's fresh and vibrant character is preserved and the natural aromas and flavors of the grapes are optimized.
