Neil Ellis's Sauvignon Blanc wines are among the world's finest. This Sauvignon Blanc has a fruity character, but above all, it's beautifully balanced. This is because Ellis selects only the very best sites for growing this white grape.
The success of Neil Ellis
Neil Ellis's adventure began in 1984, when Ellis sourced various grapes from Stellenbosch and began producing wine in rented cellars. Ellis quickly became a true pioneer, knowing precisely which conditions were perfect for each grape variety. His quest ultimately led to groundbreaking results with quality wines under his own name. Today, the winery has grown into a large and successful family business. Ellis's children have each taken on roles in the winery. The vines are planted on a hilly area on the west coast. At an altitude of 350 meters, the wines develop greater complexity and fruity aromas. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are carefully harvested and almost immediately brought to the winery. Here, the grapes are sorted and carefully broken open. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged on the fine lees for another three months before bottling.A world-class Sauvignon Blanc
This elegant Sauvignon Blanc is a bright, light yellow in the glass. The aroma is delightfully fruity with notes of papaya, melon, and mango. Thanks to its stainless steel aging, it also reveals notes of spices like pepper. The taste is wonderfully aromatic, fruity, and beautifully balanced. This balanced white wine has a fine texture.
