The 2023 vintage for white wines from Northern Italy is rated as excellent and early accessible. The wines show above-average quality and are already very pleasant to drink.

Danzante is the beautiful Frescobaldi winery in Veneto, where they cultivate their signature Pinot Grigio. The old vineyards are situated at a relatively high altitude, where the sun shines beautifully and the Adriatic Sea provides the perfect breeze. Sourced from Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, and Friuli Venezia Giulia, the three northeastern regions of Italy collectively known as the Tre Venezie. The grapes are hand-selected in September for optimal ripeness and then gently pressed to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors in the wine.

Four months of maturation for this Danzante Pinot Grigio

Once the bunches are pressed, the entire wine matures for a full four months in the Frescobaldi cellars. A crucial period for this Danzante Pinot Grigio, as it develops a remarkable strength without losing its refined freshness. The winemakers know exactly how to strike the right chord with their Pinot Grigio, boasting a rich array of aromas and flavors, along with refined tannins and the finest, light acidity. As soon as you open the bottle, you're immediately struck by the aroma of Italian wine—delicious. Close your eyes and smell the glass—can you hear the Italian music playing? This wine transports you to an Italian highlight, with beautiful aromas of crisp white fruit like apples and pears. But we also detect plenty of grapefruit, lime zest, and a touch of green herbs in this white Danzante. The palate reveals the beautifully ripe attack of the Pinot Grigio grape, rich notes of white fruit, passion fruit, and a touch of ripe melon. This wine is wonderful to enjoy with friends but also pairs well with dishes like seafood, salted fish, fresh salads, grilled vegetables, and of course, a nice piece of white fish.
