Vintage Report
The 2023 vintage for Languedoc is rated with an excellent score of 94 points, indicating top quality for the region. Although specific data for 2024 is not yet included in the tables, this points to a very favorable climate for viticulture.
A light-bodied wine with tropical notes. This Prestige Chardonnay from Maison La Chenais is made entirely from the renowned Chardonnay grape. This grape thrives in the Languedoc region's natural conditions. The vines are deeply rooted in the volcanic soil, giving this wine a unique character alongside its tropical notes.
The unique terroir of Maison La Chenais
The Vic family runs Maison La Chenais, located between Béziers and Agde. The climate is Mediterranean, with abundant sunshine and low rainfall. The nearby sea provides just the right amount of coolness, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly and evenly. Furthermore, the volcanic terroir creates nutrient-rich soil with unique properties. Maison la Chenais means "house of the oak," a reference to the large oak tree that dominates the area. It symbolizes longevity, which is also reflected in the wines of Maison La Chenais. The Vic family grows their grapes here and produces flavorful wines that beautifully express the unique terroir. At peak ripeness, the Chardonnay grapes are carefully harvested and brought to the winery. A rigorous selection process follows, as this is the only way to guarantee quality. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine rests for several months in stainless steel tanks. This allows the fruity notes to emerge even more clearly.Enjoy the tropical Prestige Chardonnay
The Chardonnay erupts golden yellow in the glass. The delicious aromas of tropical fruit are immediately released, complemented by a hint of butter and hints of vanilla. It has a full mouthfeel, slightly oily, and soft tropical notes. A light acidity balances the fruity notes and continues into a long, pleasant finish. This Chardonnay is delicious on its own, but also pairs well with fish dishes or fresh salads.Product details
