Vintage Report
The 2022 vintage for dry wines in Portugal was excellent, with a score of 94. The wines from this year are of high quality, early maturing, and very approachable for consumption.
A beautiful blend of Rabigato, Arinto, and Codega. The grapes come from vineyards over 30 years old, each contributing its own unique character to this white Douro wine. The grapes are interspersed throughout the vineyard, giving it the classic name "field blend." Enjoy the wonderfully fresh aromas and smooth flavor of this Invincible Number One White.
A special collaboration for Invincible Number One White
After years of collaboration, Portuguese winemaker Rita Marques and South African Marc Kent decided to embark on a new path in 2020. They jointly purchased a vineyard in Casais do Douro, where they launched their first joint wine, Invincible Numero Dois. A few years later, Number One White also joined the range. The two have a knack for bringing different continents together, producing highly refined wines. The vineyards are situated on impressive terraces along the river, where the deeply rooted vines enjoy the perfect climate. The Rabigato, Arinto, and Cordega grapes together form the blend for this Number One white Douro wine. The grapes are harvested at peak ripeness and transported almost immediately to the winery. Here, the grapes are rigorously inspected, after which fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees. The scent and taste of Invincible Number One White
The Invincible Number One appears golden yellow in the glass. Its delightful aromas immediately greet you: jasmine, apple, and pear. Initially, it's a wonderfully dry wine, particularly round and pleasantly smooth. On the palate, it has an extremely light texture with a youthful finish.Product details
