The Italian wines of Sacchetto

The Sacchetto winery has a long and impressive history in northern Italy. It's one of our favorite Veneto wineries. It began as a successful trading house. Sisto Sacchetto successfully managed the distribution for other wineries for decades. It was his son, Filiberto, who came up with the idea of producing his own wines in the 1980s. It proved to be a resounding success, as forty years later, Sacchetto wines are now a staple in the wine world.

What does Sacchetto Il Bianchetto Sauvignon Blanc Trevenezie taste like?

The foundation for this Sacchetto wine is the ultimate refreshing Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes come from Sacchetto's extensive vineyards in the Veneto wine region. To give this wine a touch more complexity, a small portion of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes is sourced from Fruili. After harvest, the grapes are cold-pressed and fermented in stainless steel. This is done to preserve the refreshing character of the Sauvignon Blanc. The result is truly impressive. Prepare for a classic Sauvignon Blanc, where freshness practically bursts from the glass: citrus, lime, and gooseberry. Deliciously delicate on the palate, yet with a refreshing acidity on the finish. A Sauvignon Blanc after our own hearts.
