An Italian wine from Donnachiara

This white wine is produced by the relatively young Donnachiaria winery. Founded by Chiara Pettitto, she represents the fifth generation of the family, who previously sold their grapes to other wineries. When Chiara inherited the vineyards in 2005, she started her own winery: Donnachiara. The vineyards were redeveloped, and a new winery was built. Its sustainability is unique. Donnachiaria is the only agricultural company listed on Italy's renowned list of ecological farms. The winery is located in perhaps Italy's most unknown wine region, Campania, in the south of this diverse country. However, Campania is developing into a significant wine region, thanks in part to wineries like Donnachiara. The indigenous grape varieties Aglianico, Falanghina, and Greco are particularly well-known. The latter, Greco, is also the basis for this Donnachiara Greco di Tufo wine.

Impressions of Donnachiara Greco di Tufo

The grapes are grown in the Greco di Tufo appellation, perhaps the most famous in all of Campania. The Donnachiara variety is magical and almost perfect. This is due to the refined production process of this white wine. After harvest, the Greco grapes are gently pressed in stainless steel to emphasize the freshness. The result is a perfect wine, one we've become huge fans of. Donnachiara Greco di Tufo offers a rich bouquet. With every sip, you're confronted with new aromas. You'll recognize soft pears, firm apricots, and tropical pineapple. The invigorating citrus flavor is clearly present. Donnachiara Greco di Tufo is the perfect combination of refreshing fruit and rich minerals. The best Campania has to offer.
