The German wines of Brogsitter

Brogsitter's origins date back to 1600. However, over the past four hundred years, the winery has not stood still. Brogsitter is a collaboration of several smaller wineries, which, thanks to winemaker Hans Brogsitter, came together to form a larger entity. This allowed the winery to produce on a large scale and became a highly innovative winery. The vision of tradition and authenticity shifted to refinement with an international slant, without losing its character. A once difficult task, but thanks to the Brogsitter family, it has been more than achieved. Brogsitter's vineyards are overrun with local German varieties. But the second generation, Hans-Joachim Brogsitter, is embarking on a true renewal drive. More and more international varieties are being planted in the vineyards, including Sauvignon Blanc, which develops a distinctive aroma in the Ahr's unique microclimate.
