The Grand Petit Verdot feels completely at home at 1,200 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Chacayes, Uco Valley. This special location boasts a microclimate perfect for ripening the Petit Verdot grape. The grapes benefit from cool nights and warm days. The combination of alluvial, sandy loam, and stony soils, along with careful vineyard management using advanced pruning and irrigation techniques, produces grapes of top quality and intensity. They are ready to be transformed into a world-class wine. Each bottle of Alpasion Grand Petit Verdot is the result of a careful and dedicated process, guided by the experienced hands of Ezequiel Manoni, with guidance from Karim Mussi Saffie. From hand-picking and selecting the grapes to fermentation in small concrete vats with natural yeasts, every detail is carefully considered to bring out the unique characteristics of the Petit Verdot grape. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation and a 20-day maceration period further contribute to the wine's complexity and depth, while aging in new French oak barrels adds the final touch.
