This red Philibert du Charme comes from France, specifically from the Languedoc region. This is where the beautiful winery and its vineyards are located. For this red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with the riper, softer Merlot grape. It's a blend we often see, but never before has it been so refined and ripe. The harvest of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
The vineyards for this red wine are situated high on the hillside, at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level to be precise. Here, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes receive ample sunlight and additional cooling from the wind and sharply falling nighttime temperatures. This ensures even harvest growth, and the bunches retain their natural freshness. The soil structure is remarkable, rich in clay and limestone, giving the grapes ample strength. Once the harvest is ripe and the bunches have absorbed all the richness of the soil, they are harvested. When the bunches arrive at Philibert du Charme, they are thoroughly inspected; only the finest are used in this red wine. We notice this immediately upon opening the bottle; we immediately smell nuances of cherry and blackberry, accompanied by a touch of spice. In the glass, it colors beautifully, resulting in an intense cherry red with a purple rim. We carefully nosed the glass, and this red wine enchanted us, revealing deep aromas of cherry and blackberry, along with spicy notes of cinnamon and cumin. The palate is pampered with beautifully soft tannins and abundant ripe black fruit. Later, after a while, the wine also reveals nuances of sweet wood, ripe blackberries, and some stewed cherries.
