A wine from the Languedoc

When you think of the Languedoc, the first thing that comes to mind is the hordes of tourists who discover this sunny region in the South of France every year. With beautiful cities like Nice, Montpellier, and Cannes, a successful holiday is guaranteed. In the heart of the breathtaking Languedoc, you'll find the Vignobles Vellas winery. The winery boasts no fewer than 120 hectares of its own vineyards in southeastern France. Besides their own vineyards, they also purchase various grapes from winegrowers in the Côte du Rhone and Provence. This means they operate in all the major regions of this part of France.

A red wine from the Marselan grape

The base for this Poison Rouge is the Marselan grape. This grape is relatively young; it has only been permitted to be grown in the Languedoc since 1990. It is a cross between the robust Cabernet Sauvignon and the fruity Grenache. The Marselan grape performs exceptionally well in this red wine from Vignobles Vellas. With lush aromatic notes of fresh fruit and an intense bouquet on the palate, this Poison Rouge is a superb wine. The finish is characterized by playful black fruit and subtle red berry notes.
