Vintage Report
De jaargang 2021 in Aragón was over het algemeen zeer goed, met gunstige weersomstandigheden die resulteerden in evenwichtige druiven. Dit leidde tot wijnen met een goede structuur en aromatische complexiteit.
In northern Spain, we find the beautiful Enate winery, in the Somontano region. Their wines are made with a pure love for Spanish wine tradition. That's why Enate Wines has a modern winery that preserves ancient Spanish traditions. The Enate family considers winemaking an art form; from tending the vineyard to aging in oak barrels, everything must be perfectly coordinated. But their love of art extends beyond wine; the family is passionate about modern artwork and has its own museum next to the winery. Here, Enate tells us, everything comes together: art and a love of wine. That's why each bottle features a piece of art that tells something about the wine. It's incredibly fun and inspiring, because that's what Enate wines represent.
Wood aging for the Enate Crianza
This red Enate Crianza is made with Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at the foot of the mountain. The vineyard's altitude creates a unique climate for both grape varieties. They receive ample sunshine, cool nights, and a constant fresh breeze blowing through the vineyard. This allows the Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to mature evenly and absorb plenty of nutrients from the rich soil structure. This soil, composed of limestone and volcanic subsoils, produces truly exceptional bunches for this red wine. These are therefore harvested entirely by hand as soon as they are ripe for picking. Then comes the most important step for this Enate Crianza: aging for nine months in both French and American oak barrels.Full and very powerful this Enate Crianza Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon
After aging in oak, the wine is not filtered, so a small amount of sediment can always remain in the bottle. This gives it its unique style, and we smell it the moment we open the bottle. The aroma reveals delicious ripe fruit, spices, and smoky notes. The palate is equally beautiful, with plenty of black fruit, blackberries, cherries, and currants. It also boasts a full bouquet of spices, vanilla, tobacco, and cocoa.Product details
