The vineyards for this Cariano Valpolicella are located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico Superiore region. The blend consists of Corvina, Rondinella, and Corvinone. The best grapes are selected, resulting in a round and supple baby Amarone.

The winery in the heart of Valpolicella Classico

Cecilia Beretta Winery is the pride of the Pasqua family and was founded in the early 1980s as an agricultural business. Its name comes from the magnificent Beretta villa built in the 7th century in Mizzole. Around the end of the 1940s, the Pasqua family acquired the Mizzole, Mattaranetta, and San Felice vineyards. The winery is inspired by innovation and the continuous improvement of the original aspects of the vine. This winery, located in the heart of Valpolicella Classico, is named after a magnificent 17th-century villa once owned by the poet Giuseppe Beretta. The owners use modern techniques and indigenous varietals, combining tradition with innovation. Juicy and intense with warm notes of spice and cherry, this wine deserves its "superior" status. At harvest time, the finest and best bunches are hand-selected and picked. Fermentation takes place in small steel tanks at the winery. The wine then matures for 12 to 16 months in small oak barrels, and finally, it spends another 6 months in the bottle.

The round and smooth taste of Cariano Valpolicella Classico

The Cariano Valpolicella Classico shines in the glass with its dark, almost purple color. The nose offers an abundance of ripe cherry fruit, cigar smoke, and cinnamon. This is complemented by aromas of plums and toasted notes. On the palate, this Valpolicella is round and supple with flavors of dark chocolate and peppery spices. The light sweetness of the fruit balances the wine. A silky wine with a pleasantly long finish. The ideal accompaniment to meat dishes or hearty pasta.
