Grape and vinification
Albarossa – Piedmont
Albarossa is a cross of Nebbiolo and Barbera, developed in Piedmont. The grape combines the color and freshness of Barbera with the structure of Nebbiolo.
Vinification takes place with controlled fermentation to achieve optimal extraction of color and structure. Subsequently, the wine matures in wood to refine the tannins and add extra complexity.
Character and style
In the glass, this Piemonte Albarossa displays a deep ruby red color. The wine is known for aromas of dark fruit, spice, and subtle earthy notes. The structure is firm, with clear but ripe tannins and fresh acidity that provide balance.
Serve around 16–18 °C to allow the fruit and structure to come into their own optimally.
