A classic wine produced since 1922 and a beloved favorite. The Bodegas Toro Albala winery is located in the area's first power plant. This quickly led to jokes about the wine containing electricity, and even being electric. The famous name Electrico was quickly born and became associated with this wine. The 100% Pedro Ximenex grapes are grown organically, resulting in a pleasant wine.

The wines of the Toro Albala winery

The Toro Albala winery is located in the Montilla Moriles region. It was the first bodega in this area to sell sweet dessert wines. They are experts in the Pedro Ximenex grape. The winery was founded in 1922 by Jose Maria Toro Albala. Approximately 30 percent of the grapes come from their own vineyards, with the remaining 70 percent coming from partner growers. The wine cellar, with approximately 6,000 barrels, is located in the underground tunnels. Nothing is left to chance, and the entire winemaking process is closely monitored. The grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness. A strict selection process takes place in the old wine cellar, where only the very best are considered good enough. This is followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. After several months of rest, it's time to enjoy this Toro Albala Electrico.

The Electrico appears straw-yellow in color. With greenish reflections, this wine sparkles with soft aromas. The nose reveals notes of almond with toasted notes. The palate is dry with balanced acidity that balances everything out. The finish is long, slightly bitter, and pleasant, with warm aromas returning. A perfect wine for aperitifs.
