Vintage Report
The 2021 vintage in South Australia was rated 93 points by Robert Parker, indicating excellent quality. The wines from this year are early drinking and very approachable.
This beautiful, rich red wine is named after the 18th-century Venice gambling house, R'dotto. It's RedHeads' biggest gamble yet! Five Italian grapes, grown by two exceptional growers, combine in this seductive, velvety wine that will undoubtedly win you over. The grapes used in Australia have an Italian touch! Namely, Montepulciano, Sagrantino, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, and Barbera are all in this bottle—how exciting!
Take a chance at RedHeads
In South Australia, in the town of Tanuda to be precise, we find the RedHeads Studio winery. There, the dedicated team behind RedHeads works tirelessly, from vine to bottle and beyond, to ensure the wines are always ready to be enjoyed in their best condition. Quality is paramount! The story of this R'Dotto Royale tells the story of an 18th-century Venetian gambling house. The Italian and European elite came here to play games. Not entirely without risk, but those brave enough were richly rewarded. The favorite game was Rosso. The goal was to play the Five Card Trick, which meant four red aces and a joker. Nearly impossible. But those who dared to take the gamble received bags of money. But nothing is too much for the RedHeads winery. And so, they created this wine with no fewer than five Italian grapes! The grapes are sourced from various vineyards in the Adelaide region. After harvest, the grapes are fermented in open tanks, where the pulp is pumped over twice a day. The wine then ferments a second time in oak barrels to enhance its color and intensity. Finally, the wine matures for ten months in used French and American oak barrels. The scent and taste of RedHeads R dotto Royale Italian Blend
And after a little patience, it's time to savor this unique interplay of grapes. On the nose, this R'dotto Royale offers hints of tart Morello cherries and pomegranate, along with light spice and a hint of chocolate. The palate of this red RedHeads is lively and very soft, with ripe tannins and nuances of red and black fruit.Product details
