The Malbec grapes for this wine are planted at an altitude of 300 meters, allowing this grape to truly flourish. And that's exactly what we taste in this Château de Haute Serre Georges Malbec Cahors. It's an elegant wine with a full body and complex aromas. A perfect choice if you want to tantalize your taste buds.

The quality wines of Georges Vigouroux

This wine is part of the Georges Vigouroux winery. This winery, located in the Cahors region of France, was founded in 1887. Today, the fourth generation of the family is at the helm. Their high-quality wines made from the Malbec grape are incredibly popular and have put this winery on the map. They own numerous vineyards across various terroirs in the region, allowing them to produce a variety of wines, each with its own distinct character. A careful vinification process is essential for this wine. It comes from the 60 hectares of vineyards on the historic slopes of the Cahors vineyard. The vineyard enjoys abundant sunshine and the stony, red-hued soil. The grapes are harvested at peak ripeness and taken directly to the winery. After strict inspection and pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation follows. The wine then matures for 12 months in barrels, 50 percent of which are oak barrels, to preserve the wine's freshness and fruitiness. Finally, the wine is aged in bottle for another 12 to 18 months.

The aromas of Chateau de Haute Serre Georges Malbec Cahors

With a brilliant dark red color, the Château de Haute Serre Georges Malbec Cahors radiates in the glass. The nose is complex, with aromas of black fruit and subtle notes of licorice. The wine is wonderfully full and open, with warm and spicy notes on the palate. The tannins give this Malbec its elegance and refinement. A complex and balanced wine with a full body and a long finish.
