The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The name of this wine, "Casamatta," perfectly reflects the fresh, vibrant, and powerful aromas of the Sangiovese grapes used in this wine. The grapes are vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity and playful character of the wine. The result is a juicy and fruity red wine. Casamatta Rosso is typical of the style of Bibi Graetz wines, all characterized by their creativity and originality, expressing the Sangiovese grapes in their purest and most authentic form.

Bibi Graetz founded the Tuscan winery in 2000, which has achieved cult status over the past twenty years. This is partly due to the winery's distinctive wines and artistic labels, which are enjoyed by many wine lovers. Bibi Graetz's success is due to the careful selection of the grapes and the use of modern technologies during vinification. Furthermore, the winery attaches great importance to sustainable viticulture and the preservation of biodiversity in the vineyards. The vinification process for Bibi Graetz Casamatta Rosso begins with the selection of grapes from the youngest vineyards, extending north from Florence to the south towards Siena. The grapes are then fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's distinctive style. Fermentation lasts no longer than a week, and no maceration is added at the end of the process. After fermentation, the wines from different vineyards are blended and aged for six months in stainless steel tanks to further develop their flavor and character before final bottling.

Bibi Graetz Casamatta Rosso has a light cherry red color and is a lively and playful wine made from the Sangiovese grape. The nose is characterized by aromas of cherries, strawberries, and mandarin, as well as subtle hints of tea, Mediterranean herbs, and earth. On the palate, the wine is juicy with good acidity, and the soft and refined tannins make it accessible and pleasant to drink. The fruity flavors of cherries and strawberries linger on the long finish, making this wine an excellent choice for pairing with light meat dishes or pasta dishes.
