The king's wine is this Amarone Della Valpolicella Punta 470 from Ca'Rugate. We were incredibly curious when we received all the points for this wine, as it received 92 points from James Suckling, 91 points from Decanter, and 90 points from Wine Spectator. Well, we give this Amarone Della Valpolicella 100 points because it's fantastic! But let's start with the long history of this winery, as it's already the fourth generation of the Tessari family at the helm of this fantastic winery. The family name is well-known in the region, stealing the show with their finest wines. All wines are made with great love, respect for nature, and preserving ancient Italian winemaking traditions. The winery itself takes its name from the famous Rugate hill, as this beautiful hill is home to the winery and many vineyards.
