Off to Sicily! We're huge fans of Sicilian wines, and we're not shy about it. This didn't come about by chance, as Sicilian wines long had a dubious reputation. Until well into the 1980s, the vision of Sicilian winemakers was simple: mass production! Sicily produced a lot, with little regard for quality. Fortunately, this changed, and significant innovation and investment took place. So much so that Sicilian wines are now indispensable. One of the finest producers is the Candoni family, who, together with the De Zan family, produce delicious wines.

The wines of Candoni

Candoni wines are produced by two families who, thanks to a long-standing relationship, have worked together for over half a century. The strengths of the Candoni and De Zan families bring out the best in each other. They have vineyards in various Italian wine regions, with those in southern Sicily being the most prominent. Here, among other things, the hero of Italian wines is grown: Pinot Grigio, which, thanks to Sicily's unique climate, creates exceptional wines.
