Landgoed Heenwerf Cuvée Alliance Brut Blanc de Blancs in gift box

In the polders of West Brabant, Landgoed Heenwerf bottles a fresh, Dutch sparkling wine with its own distinctive signature. Cuvée Alliance is a Blanc de Blancs from the estate's first vintages, created as an ode to collaboration and craftsmanship. What does Blanc de Blancs mean in sparkling wine? White bubbles made exclusively from white grapes, here Chardonnay and Auxerrois, for an elegant, pure style.

Vineyards and region

The grapes come from the Netherlands, West Brabant, from the 3-hectare vineyard of the Heenwerf Estate in the polder along the De Baak stream. The soil is sandy loam, a mix of loam and sand with good drainage and ample nutrients, which contributes to the wine's bright, fresh signature. The vineyard is surrounded by agricultural land and is sheltered, allowing the fruit to ripen evenly.

Vinification and maturation

Cuvée Alliance is made using the traditional method with secondary fermentation in the bottle. The base wine undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel and partially in oak barrels, after which Champagne yeast is added in the bottle for the sparkling aging. The secondary fermentation and aging in the bottle last 12 months, after which the wine is disgorged and rested for a further two months to develop a fine mousse and a taut finish. The alcohol content is 12%.

Grape composition

Chardonnay – Heenwerf Estate
Gives backbone, fresh citrus and length.

Auxerrois – Heenwerf Estate
Adds soft roundness and white fruit.

Tasting notes and serving suggestions

Pale white-yellow in the glass with a lively, fine mousse. Aromas of green apple and white flowers with a hint of exotic fruit. Fresh and dry on the palate with a balance of citrus and yellow fruit and a lingering, refreshing finish. Perfect as an aperitif and with appetizers, fish, or grilled vegetables. Also festive with oysters and, typically Dutch, even alongside oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts) during the holidays.
