Vertice's winery in the Douro, one of the world's oldest wine regions, excels in combining ancient traditions with modern innovations. This has earned Vertice worldwide recognition for its top-quality sparkling wines. By rigorously selecting and using only the finest grapes, sometimes even skipping a harvest if the quality is subpar, Vertice demonstrates its uncompromising commitment to quality. This has earned them numerous international awards, including a 92-point rating from wine critic Robert Parker. Vertice Cuvée Brut Vinho Espumante do Douro is produced from an exquisite blend of 75 percent red and 25 percent white grapes, sourced from the high-altitude vineyards of Caves Transmontanas. These vineyards are situated at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level, where the combination of slate and granite soils creates a unique environment for the development of intense aromas. The grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality. After harvest, the wine undergoes a careful vinification process, during which the must ferments slowly and the wine is then aged for 40 months, developing its characteristic complexity and elegance.
