Work was put into them. They were renovated and modernized, just like the winery. The 550 hectares of vineyards were situated in a beautiful hilly landscape. By devoting the necessary attention to the grapes, the quality increased dramatically. This great success prompted expansion, and the Condesa de Leganza winery now encompasses approximately 1,100 hectares. Like the rosé, Condesa de Leganza's red wine is made from the undisputed number one grape on the Iberian Peninsula: Tempranillo. As the name suggests, it's full of temperament. A light peppery note and the necessary intensity give Condesa de Leganza Tempranillo that extra something. The white wine is made from another high-flyer from Spain: Verdejo. Open the bottle, and the nose is filled with fresh red fruit and a swarm of grapefruit. Pouring reveals a bright, light pink color perfectly suited to this time of year. The Condesa de Leganza Rosé boasts aromas of strawberry, cherry, raspberry, and a floral note. The Condesa de Leganza Rosé is full-bodied and pleasantly flavored with abundant fruit and a light spiciness. After a long and balanced growing process, the Tempranillo is harvested at night. This prevents damage to the bunches and oxidation during transport to Condesa de Leganza. In the glass, this red wine transforms into a garnet red with purple highlights. It bursts out of the glass in terms of aromas, as we noted nuances of spice and ripeness, along with hints of vanilla and fresh plums.
